Treetop Trekking

Are your kids climbers? Climbing on your furniture, your tables, up the stairs, all over you?

I have found the place for you.

Have you heard of Treetop Trekking or Treewalk Village?

Because if you haven’t, you NEED TO GO.

They have a bunch of locations where you can zipline and climb-more on that later.

But if you have children under nine, you’re going to want to visit the location in Stouffville. They have this amazing park called Treewalk Village that my kids were CRAZY about.

We spent a couple of hours running around from treehouse to treehouse, in and out of tunnels and down the slides. The kids were rock climbing, doing obstacle courses and didn’t stop the entire time. Even my husband I were sweating just following them around. It was an absolute blast!

Can you tell I highly recommend this place?

I found it really unique. Something different, OUTDOORS (I’m a big fan of outdoors) and super fun!

The ropes are high in the air for kids to walk from tree to tree, but don’t worry-they’re totally safe. They are surrounded by these “hammock nets” that will catch them, no matter how they tumble or fall.

Be sure to wear shoes that are securely snug to your feet…my daughter walked half the time without one shoe..it kept getting stuck in the nets!

I didn’t know this before I went, but they even do birthday parties. I could totally see my kids with all their friends in this enclosed setting for a birthday party.

I can tell you, they were absolutely exhausted after…WIN!

Now…for the over nine crowd…and adults…they have Zip Line Aerial Game Treks and their Monarch Zip Line which is super long and fun.

My husband and I spent about three hours going through all of their games…they range from beginner to advanced, and let me tell you…they certainly get advanced. Ever watch American Ninja Warrior? I felt like I was on that show…but happily attached to a very safe line keeping me from plunging what felt like 100 feet to the ground!

I bashed my elbow against a tree, and bruised up my arm collapsing against one of the lines, but it was SO MUCH FUN! And something really different for me to do with my husband.

We don’t get to spend a lot of time together, and when we do, it’s either watching TV, a movie or maybe going out to eat. But this was something fun and different. And of course, the whole time we talked about how much fun the kids would have once they’re old enough to do it. Sigh.

Afterwards, we were sweaty, tired and so happy.

My advice? Go have fun with your kids at Treewalk Village and save Treetop Trekking for a fun day date with your partner, or a bunch of friends. What a blast! Oh-and bring gloves. Bike gloves without the fingers are perfect, or workout gloves. But it will save your hands! You can buy some there too, just in case.

And don’t think it’s too late because it’s fall! These guys are open in October too! Just give them a shout to find out their hours and book your time. Have fun!
