I’ve been GO GO GO since September with my new business. It’s been FANTASTIC! I’ve been blogging and teaching cooking classes, doing webinars, virtual summits, collaborating with new people, joining new groups, meeting people, making videos, speaking at small workshops to big corporations…it’s been SO BUSY and so much fun.
I also launched my first product, Family Food Transformation, on my site in January. I’ve learned so much in such a short time! I’ve gotten some great feedback, had some good days, and some bad days, but ultimately-everything has been super fantastic.
Not to mention over 200 awesome people joined my FREE 30-day Green & Orange challenge!! (Psst! You can still join and start any day you want!)
I am absolutely loving all the pictures of green and orange foods people are eating, as well as the great questions and comments from challengers that are feeling amazing by integrating this simple change into their lives. And it’s fun!
My mission to expand my reach and really help people eat better in 2017 is off to a pretty great start if you ask me.
And now it’s March. And you know what?
I got stuck.
I was so focused on one task (or many many tasks focused in one direction), that March came and I thought…
Well…to be honest I thought about a million different things I could be doing.
And because I thought of a million different things I could be doing, I couldn’t focus on doing one single thing.
And now I’m stuck.
So I reached out for help. I joined a group of Mom Entrepreneurs and went to a workshop one night about “Getting your Goals”. I heard some excellent advice from a wonderful coach named Cherene Francis. She suggested I pause and she challenged me to do an hour of personal development every day for the next 30 days.
And my first reaction was: “I can’t do that. I don’t have an hour a day.”
And you know what I did?
I signed up.
I signed up because my immediate reaction was “I can’t”. I had to prove to myself that I CAN. I signed up because I was scared to fail and I immediately thought I would.
There is a really great quote that has always resonated with me:
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”
I was doing the same thing, over and over, and expecting so much to happen! That’s INSANE (apparently)! It’s time for me to make a change. So here’s what I’m doing for the month of March:
- I am committing to one hour of personal development every day until the end of the month. And you know what? It’s been so amazing so far, I might just continue! Personal development can come in many forms, but recharging and “filling my cup” whether personally or professionally, is something I can TOTALLY do.
- I am not drinking any alcohol for the month. Yes, St. Patrick’s Day is smack dab in the middle of March but I’m way more productive when I don’t have wine at night and I want to make a change so…CHANGE! It’s 30 days, psssst, no big deal, right? I’ll drink green…smoothies.
- Lastly, I am writing a blog post every day. I’m not publishing one every day…but this way, I’m totally getting ahead of the game so expect great things!! EVEN ON WEEKENDS. Yes, now I’ve written it, so it will be. AHHHHH!!!!
