Of course, every year with children is special. But this year, my kids are 6, 5 and 3. And they all BELIEVE. There is nothing more magical than the big eyes of a young child on Christmas morning when they’re waiting to see if Santa did, in fact, arrive. I think he’ll probably find our house this year. My daughter is happy to believe…as long as she doesn’t have to believe ON HIS KNEE.
Poor girl. I don’t think she’ll be in the Christmas photo next year.
This is our first year with a real fireplace (exciting!)! No explaining how Santa gets in (or breaks in) this year, it’s the traditional way, no questions asked. There might even be footprints…
Also, we will have our whole family in one house this year. No driving, no packing up, no potlucks, no taking videos. Just our family and grandparents, all in one house, all waking up together to experience the magic of Christmas around our very own tree! I imagine it’ll be a little earlier than everyone is used to…but I’m sure this one day, they’ll be alright with it.
After seven years in a small military town, we are finally home. This is where we’re meant to be. We are truly happy. Nothing can damper our spirits! Can you tell I’m one of those people that LOVES this time of year?
I wish the same for you and your families. Absolute happiness and joy, not only on Christmas day-but all year long. 🙂
